First of all Michael hates writing Bios.  So here goes...  Entering first person mode...

I was born in San Jose, CA and grew up in South Florida, and now currently reside in New York City.  I received my BFA in Music Theatre from Florida State University.  After graduating I moved to New York with two of my classmates.  In our first month we all got cast in Steven Schwartz’s Children of Eden (which we got to do the cast recording of at the legendary Hit Factory!)  I then went on tour with the first National Tour of Ragtime and my love of theatre was solidified forever.

When I returned from tour I started writing musicals and staged my first big scale reading.  I was accepted to the BMI Lehmen-Engel Workshop, and I also joined the Musical Writer’s Playground.

I have originated roles Off-Broadway in Listen to My Heart, The Tragic and Horrible Life of the Singing Nun, My Deah, and The Odyssey.  Not to mention the dozens of readings/workshops/recordings I have been lucky enough to be a part of.

Needless to say, I feel very blessed to still be a part of this exciting business.  The experiences I’ve had and the people I’ve met have changed my life and I sincerely hope this career continues to evolve.  If you’re reading this then I thank you wholeheartedly for taking an interest.  I hope somehow at some point the reason you’re visiting this site made you smile.

I guess that wasn’t so painful...

I’d love to hear from you.  You can e-mail me at:
